Sanctuary Hotel

After this amazing experience we were very hot and many returned to Agua Calientes where the bus took you back.  However I was invited to have lunch with the General Manger of the Sanctuary Hotel which is the only hotel in the Machu Picchu region.  This is a 5 star property for people who dont want to travel far from Machu Picchu and can visit the ruins after all the people leave.  Most of the guest arrive by the Hiram Bingham train and arrive for lunch.  Afte lunch they check into their rooms and then have the opportunity to see the ruins after everybody has left.  Then they can arise early the next morning for a great view of the ruins before returning in the afternoon to Cusco.  This is a great way to have lots of time at the ruins.
