Well today was probably one of the longest days in our journey. We had time to have breakfast.
We walked around a little of the property before we got into our van to take off for the airport which was 3-4 hours away. The journey was boring and many of us slept. The Singular had arranged for a box lunch for us. We were flying out of Punta Arenas around 4P. As we arrived at the airport we were met by our Abercrombie and Kent rep. He had already had somebody stand in line for us as so we could be checked in as a group when she came to the front. It was a busy airport. All of us checked in and boarded the 3 1/2 hour flight to Santiago. As we arrived into Santiago we were again met and surprised by our friend Lucy who had been with us all throghout our Patagonia area. She came bearing gifts for all the people who had lost things along the way including my husband whose glasses had fallen into the creek on one of his hikes. The guide had gone back and searched the riverbank until he found them. This was just the type of service we had in every location.
Now we all had to say our good-byes as most of us were leaving on Red Eye flights to the states. Jim and I had a 10:50P flight to Dallas arriving at 6:05A and earlier that week we had been confirmed for business class. Therefore that meant that we could sleep all the way home and sleep I did!!!
Arrived into Dallas with about a 3 hour layover so went to the lounge and grabbed a bite to eat. Boarded the plane and arrived back to San Diego which was delayed around 12 noon.
We were glad to be back and share our wonderful memories with family and friends.
So if you need any suggestions about travelling to Chile or Patagonia I will be happy to share them with you.
